Located in the Binjiang New Area of Xiangjiang New District in Changsha, the Changsha Vanke Binjiang No.1 Demonstration Zone is a multifaceted project featuring commercial spaces, ultra-high-rise residences, and beautiful landscaping. Our design focus is to enhance their appeal and artistic expression through strategic lighting, offering both visual and experiential richness.
The design of this project features the innovative concept of a "luminous box." It involves hiding light fixtures that emit a warm, 3000K glow inside boxes. The light reflects off the walls, creating a uniform, transparent box of light that appears both warm and gentle to the eye. As night falls, these lights make the buildings look as if they are adorned with glowing crowns, brilliantly shining to guide and welcome people back home.
The entrance canopy incorporates small, strategically placed light sources that resemble the gentle unfolding of flower petals. This lighting casts a soft, twinkling glow that intricately plays across the canopy's geometric patterns, adding depth and a touch of star-like sparkle that enhances the building's architectural beauty.
In the commercial areas, boxes with self-illuminating, colored glass add vibrancy and movement, making these spaces lively and attractive. This playful interaction of light with the glass enhances the overall shopping atmosphere and complements the lighting from nearby storefronts. The use of horizontal linear lighting ties the different parts of the building together, creating a unified and flowing architectural expression.
Both the landscape and the building's lighting feature a warm 3000K color temperature, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. The lighting design uses understated, pinpoint sources to subtly highlight paths and greenery without overwhelming with linear lights. These subtle, starry lights guide without disrupting the overall aesthetics of the landscape, akin to lights twinkling across various homes, stretching from commercial spaces to the inner courtyards, enhancing the experience of coming home.
The semi-open spaces in the inner courtyards use metallic materials that reflect the linear lighting, emphasizing important features and creating a visually distinct area that harmonizes beautifully with its surroundings.
At night, the Vanke Binjiang Center transforms into a serene and welcoming space that feels like home, designed to delight people from all walks of life and highlight the project's design aesthetics and artistic vision. The lighting design merges seamlessly with the architecture, fostering a dynamic interaction between light and structure that speaks volumes through its expressive illumination.
